Achieved the Outstanding performance level on the EGEL-CENEVAL, Mexico's national standardized exit examination for undergraduate students, demonstrating excellence in Computer Science competencies.
Certificates
CS101: Introduction to Computing Principles
By Stanford University
The course depends on passing a large range of computer topic questions from hardware to software to networking to security. More importantly, passing the course requires you to code up solutions our large number of small Javascript coding proglems.
NASA International Space Apps Challenge
By NASA
The main task of our project was to share information about exoplanets in an accessible and fun way with students and kids. To achieve this goal, we developed a website with simplified but interesting facts about 4 specific exoplanets. NASA already has sites with information about exoplanets, but the vast majority of the data is a bit technical and not very young-friendly. We made it more engaging for our target audience by creating a comically looking alien named Blorg, and adding some exoplanet models made by the team.
Applied Software Engenieering
By IBM
Course Description:
Describe software development and related technologies; outline approaches to deployment architectures.
Explain the role of version control and collaborative coding in SDLC & DevOps.
Create GitHub repositories and use branching with Git commands.

Project: Can Educational Systems Help in Motivating Students?
May 2015 – August 2015
Selected to receive the 2015 Mitacs Globalink Research Internship Award, a competitive international research program, to conduct research at Athabasca University, one of Canada's leading research universities. Worked under the supervision of Professor Dr. Sabine Graf from the School of Computing and Information Systems at on the project Can Educational Systems Help in Motivating Students?. The project explored how educational systems can improve student motivation by emphasizing goals, objectives, task progress, and project milestones rather than relying solely on final assignment grades. The platform was designed to provide university students with continuous feedback and a more comprehensive view of their academic progress throughout the learning process.

Research Experience

Knapsack problem
Implemented the 0-1 Knapsack Problem using a Genetic Algorithm, representing candidate solutions as binary chromosomes and applying selection, crossover, and mutation to maximize the total value of selected items while satisfying the knapsack weight constraint. The project demonstrates the use of evolutionary optimization techniques to solve NP-hard combinatorial optimization problems.
Eight queens puzzle
By NASA

N-Queens problem
Implemented the N-Queens Problem using a Genetic Algorithm, representing candidate solutions as chromosomes that encoded queen positions and applying selection, crossover, and mutation to evolve valid board configurations. The fitness function minimized conflicts between queens, guiding the population toward solutions in which no two queens attack each other.

Two-Stage Flow Shop Scheduling
Applied a Genetic Algorithm to solve the Two-Stage Flow Shop Scheduling Problem, where a set of jobs must be processed sequentially on two machines while minimizing the overall completion time (makespan).
